Pinkpop, day 3 (final)

The Maccabees.
Kate Nash. Quite the dissapointment. I really liked the song 'Foundations', so I was looking forward in seeing her, but I thought the concert was not good. She sang off key and screamed most of the time. Also her lipstick was all over her face. I felt bad for her if I would stand in her shoes. I would not like it to have a clown face when a couple thousand people are watching me..

Skunk Anansie. I don't like her, but A. wanted to see her and after a while I have to say it wasn't that bad. I actually knew some songs and she smiled all the time, so I think it was contagious.

One last pic of me and A. Still rocking the 'poncho'...

And there he was again. My secret lover. Ok, now I sound like a freak. I'm sorry ;-)..

A. and I wanted to have a good spot for Mika so we went a hour earlier to the stage. It was just in time, because after we came there it got very crowded.

I really like this picture. Those pink hats are a every year thing. A lot of people buy them. They are pink, because of the name of the festival.. PINKpop :-)

Another fun picture.

And after a while Mika even took his shirt off! Happy times ;-)

And last, but not least. Pink. Loved her. I love her songs and think she is fierce!

At the end of the concert she came back on the stage and got into these ropes and flew over the crouwd! So cool! I knew she did that in her shows, but I didn't expect her doing this at festivals. But well, no mountain is big enough for Pink as you can see ;-)!

Loved the festival! Already looking forward to Rock Werchter in a couple of weeks and ofcourse Sziget in August :-)!

Pinkpop, day 2

A. walking to the festival.

C'mon en Kypski. Great show. Real fun. They are also going to perform at Sziget this year :-)

Me acting silly :-)

Mando Diao. I thought this show wasn't that great.

A. and I partying our poncho's off ;-)!

The show of Green Day. Also a high light! I didn't expected much of it and thought that 2 hours would be a very long time, but from the moment the concert started I loved it! The singer is really energetic and funny. Every song was fun and it wasn't a moment dull. At the end there was a lot of firework and twice we thought it was over, but then they came back on the podium again and played more songs. So great! It was a lovely night..

Pinkpop, day 1

The singer of The Temper Trap. They were so cool and nice at the meet and greet :-). I was already looking forward to this gig, but now I actually shaked their hands I'm a fan for sure ;-)!

On this hill al lot of people watched the festival for free. Quite cool if you live in that area and you can just chill and enjoy the music like this. On the other hand, if you live nearby you would buy an actual ticket right?

Me and A. . I'm wearing my Kasabian tee :-)

The Gossip. She was so nice! We couldn't see her well unfortunately, because it was so crowded in the tent, but we did hear her loud and clearly. She was great! And after every song she thanked the audience in Dutch with the sweetest girly peep voice.

Rammstein! Ohw my! I thought this was one of the coolest gigs I've ever seen!

It was amazing! Rammstein was already THE band I was thrilled about before the festival and the gig itself was even better than I hoped for. It's not like I'm always listening to their music or so (I'm not a scary chick ;-)..), but I do like to hear it once in a while. I think their songs are high larious.

The performance was also high larious. They made a sketch of themselves. Before the concert started and everyone was waiting for them their was a huge black curtain infront of the podium. Then their was a loud bang and the curtain dropped. Everyone expected to see the band, but instead of the band their was a new curtain. This time it was the German flag. So funny! The relationship between the Dutch and the Germans is still a bit tence (Just a little bit! But you can't deny it's not), so cheering for the German flag was a bit weird but oh so funny, because it feels a bit wrong haha. Then that curtain also dropped and the concert started. The lead singer had a butcher apron on and a little light in his mouth. Wrong, so wrong. I know! That's why I loved it! And like this the show went on and on and on.

The keyboard player of Rammstein.

He had a big role in the show. Funny guy. At first I thought he was so scary looking (all in leather), but after a while he changed into a glitter suit and made the weirdest movements. FUN!

And if the people stare then the people stare

I love bandshirts. They are the perfect souvenir of a great evening (when bought after a concert).

A few weeks ago a store in my city closed and therefor they sold their last stuff with a great discount. I found a tee of Wolfmother. The tee is so bad (think black, design less tee with picture of fairylike horse) that I actually think it's really funny. I didn't knew if I actually liked Wolfmother, but I knew they are going to be at the Pinkpop festival and I'll be there to. The t-shirt itself only costed me 3 euros, so for that kind of money you can never have a bad buy. Last weekend I thought it would be a good idea to begin with some 'homework' for the festivalseason and started listening to Wolfmother and to my surprise it's a real good band! So the t-shirt is defenitely going to be a piece of my Pinkpop wardrobe ;-)..

The tee above is ofcourse beyond great to be true. Unfortunately it costs 60 bucks, wich I think is a bit too much for a t-shirt.

Via Design is mine.
