500 Days of Summer

Aah! Today is my final day at college! Freedom at last! I was looking to it soo much, so the release is big! It's finally time to do the things I wanted to do for ages...

Tonight I'm going with 4 of my friends to a very luxurious restaurant at Schoorl. That's a really nice beachy village. We're going to the restaurant named Merlet and it has a Michelin star, so I'm very curious what we'll gonna eat.

But life can also be cruel. I found out that this movie will be in theaters in America at Friday July 17. And I will leave NY Thursday July 16.. So I still need to wait till it will be released here..

Cinderella in a party dress

A few days ago, just before I wanted to turn of the tv to go to sleep, I came across the show of David Letterman and he announced The Killers, so I waited a little longer and saw this great performance. It's just too beautiful if that's possible. Really, really nice!

Whou, last night I saw the movie Into the wild and I fell in love with it. Very beautiful, deep and intense. It makes you realise what's important in life. A real must see movie!

New York, I love you!

Aah! Only 18 nights of sleep and then I'm going with my bf J. to this beautiful city! Can't wait to see, hear, smell and touch the city!

Btw, I also can't wait to see this movie! It looks great! I also loved Paris je t'aime and if you only look at some of the actors who are in this movie, that's unbelieveble. To name some: Shia LaBeouf, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Orlando Bloom, Blake Lively etc.

Aah! Last night I ordered this beauty! I can't wait to have him infront of me so I can discover all the great tools :-)!

Ooh, I'm already so happy with it! Before I ordered it I had some doubts, because it's a lot of money, but now I've did it, I know I made the right decision. And hay, sometimes a girl just needs to spoil herself a little bit ;-)!

Festival inspiration

Saturday I'm gonna go to the Indian Summer Festival at Broek op Langedijk with my friend A. The weather forecast is still a bit vague. Now it says that it is going to be 18 degrees celsius with a little bit of sun and rain, but maybe tomorrow it will change. That makes it not very easy to decide what I should wear..

Cuteness alert!

Last night I had to do a lot for school and of course I did, but sometimes I just had to escape from it, so I went surving around my friends pages at Hyves and there I founded this movie. Isn't it just too cute? After watching this, I got my energy all back for the boring school stuff ;-)!

"Tender, gripping and altogether remarkable"

Last night I went with my mom to the movie The Wrestler at the movie theater in my town. The movie theater in my town is really small and they only show the better, smaller, typical movie theater movies. It's really different from going to a normal cinema. It has a certain special atmosphere, that's really nice to enjoy.

When we came there, we thougt that it would be a real guy movie, because of the fact that the women were a minority, but after seeing the movie my opinion changed. There are some really tough parts in it (mostly the wrestling bits), but most of all it's a real tragedy. I really felt for the guy. He's not that bad, but sometimes just not so smart and that makes his life hard.

Conclusion: Go see the movie! And btw, he should have won the Oscar! Altough I haven't seen Milk, I can't imagine how this can be done better..

At the National Portrait Gallery in London, there's a new campagne called 'Take another look' with photos of famous people with facts you probably didn't knew about them. That's nice. But the photo's are even better!

I personally think this photo is just wonderful!

Gone with the wind Part I

One and a half month ago, I went with my mother to the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen. It's an open-air museum, about a typical Dutch village that existed about one hundred years ago.

I really like this museum, because of it's surroundings. The museum is situated in Enkhuizen, which is a village next to the IJsselmeer (that's the biggest lake in Holland). To get to the museum you need to step into a boat, which will bring you to it. That's already nice. Then, you can walk trough the museum, get into the small houses, get an old-fashion school class or learn how to make wooden shoes and eat a nice smoken fish. Those are all ingredients to have a really nice day.

But, there was a surpise. There was an exhibition called 'Gone with the wind'. It was about the fashion of now, inspired by old fisherman clothing. There was an exposition inside the museum that wasn't very spectacular, but there was also an exposition outside the museum, inside the open-air area. That one was really nice. Students of Dutch fashion academies made an outfit of a black fabric that can face all kind of weather for months. This, because they made it as a remind of the fishermen's wives, that in the old days would wait for months on the long dike for their husbands to return.

When we were in the boat, we could see the woman stand and get bigger and bigger. It was a really nice and very impressive picture. The outfits were also really well made.

Haha, so funny! I've just got this e-mail by a colleague of mine. He's really creative with photoshop and made this really nice painting with the faces of all the employees of the company I work for. Apparently he had a little too much time on his hands ;-)!
