Sinterklaas
Last saturday Sinterklaas arrived in The Netherlands. If you're not from here or from Belgium you probably never heard of him. He's a Dutch tradition, kinda like Santa Claus. On the 5th of December it's his birthday and he 'celebrates' that by giving all the sweet children some gifts. Between this weekend and his birthday you can also place your shoe somewhere in the house and when you sing a song the next day there will be a little gift in it. Offcourse he's not real, but when you're little you do believe in it ;-). It's a sweet tradition, but I don't really celebrate it. I'm probably going to eat in a restaurant with some of my friends and then we'll maken a poem for each other with a little gift. It's not the real tradition, but it's still nice :-).
